The package, ‘Round and round we go – the fascination of biking’ (‘Alles dreht sich-Faszination Radfahren’) is just perfect, both for those whose passion is the sheer pleasure of bike riding and sport enthusiasts alike.

The hilly countryside of eastern Styria offers a charming backdrop for a ‘pleasure tour’ from Hartberg via R57 in the direction of Pöllau – or the other way round. Starting in the centre of Hartberg the route heads past the ‘villa rustica’, a Roman farm and inn – to a nature reserve in Pöllau valley. You can bike your way through numerous experiences, from the ‘Rome of eastern Styria’ to the land of the ‘Hirsch’ pear. We’ll provide you with a map and directions to all the stops and places to rest along the way.

• Generous breakfast buffet served in the historical ambience of the former courtroom.
• 3-course dinner in Gschiel’s castle restaurant: The chef does the huffing and puffing
and cooking himself! Specialties of the season are skilfully prepared and served with
heartfelt attention to the smallest detail.
• On the bikes, ready, ride! Should you not have brought you bike along, we provide
you with a trekking bike free on request for an entire day.
• Additionally, we provide you with a picnic lunch for your backpack, along with a bike
map showing all the best places to stop and rest.
